Obedience training were dogs learn to listen
I believe all dogs should have some obedience training because the shelters are full of dogs that didn’t have any training. Behavior problems are the highest mortality rate in dogs.
Hear are three of the most important obedience cues in my opinion.
1. A dependable recall - This could be life saving to your dog.
2. A strong sit-stay - This helps when visitors enter your house and for putting on the leash.
3. Loose leash walking - If your dog is not pulling you it will be walked more often this gives the dog the exercise it needs to be obedient.
If you have or are planing on getting a dog and would like assistance I would like to help. I am a certified dog trainer I graduated from Animal Behavior College. I use a positive reinforcement training method that the dogs respond to very well .
Anyone adopting a dog from Animal Resource Center of Bloomsburg I will give one free obedience training session.
I provide individual training sessions for $35.00 for the first session and $25.00 for additional sessions. This can be at your location or mine. The benefit of individual sessions are that you are not locked into six or seven weeks at a certain day and time.
